Gayatri Agrawal’s formative years in the dynamic and entrepreneurial atmosphere of her business-oriented family in Kishangarh, Odisha, influenced her journey as an entrepreneur.
Growing up in a third-tier community, she spent her early childhood observing her father, uncle, and grandfather engage in business transactions via phone, which inadvertently nurtured her entrepreneurial mindset.
“I often pretended to negotiate sales calls while playing games,” she shares with HerStory.
Aware that Kishangarh offered no education beyond the 10th grade, Agrawal’s family relocated to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh during her seventh-grade year.
This insight sparked the creation of ALTRD in December 2022.
“I noticed a gap where companies relied on five or six generic tools to accomplish a single task. We aimed to develop tailored AI solutions that effortlessly streamlined workflows,” she explains.
The firm focuses on crafting custom AI tools for various businesses, ranging from retail recommendation bots to technology-driven marketing initiatives.
Unlike standard tools, these AI solutions are specifically designed to meet each client’s unique data and requirements, according to Agrawal.
For instance, the company recently launched a bot that enables users on e-commerce platforms to provide input on personalized searches—like needing a bag with a laptop compartment and a water bottle holder for a short trip, or a specific garment for a particular body type—and receive accurate recommendations.
